With 5 months until the 2026 Singapore edition of the Norwegian Foot March...
Are you tough enough to ruck?
Some participants are already working on their fitness and preparation. For recent sign-ups, and those who might not have yet started their training in earnest, the window of opportunity to be 'event ready' is still open, the countdown clock has started.
To support everyone's training journey - newcomer or experienced speed marcher - we have created an online assessment tool, to gauge your chance of success in mid-October.
Please note, the assessment is for general information purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, nor does it replace a formal physical fitness evaluation. Results are intended to guide your thinking on event preparation.
Take the Assessment
Answer the questions below. If in doubt, select the response closest to your level of ability. Your grade, and advice, will be provided below the form.
Note: Due to formatting differences between platforms, the table below may appear differently. After receiving your Grade, scroll down for a breakdown.
What Does Your Grade Mean?
Grade A Your current knowledge, training and preparation suggest that you are in a strong position to perform well at the event. Continue training consistently. Refine your event-specific preparation and you can secure a strong finish.
Grade B You have a solid foundation but several areas could limit performance, increase fatigue or risk of injury. Focus on improving consistency, recovery & event-specific preparation and you'll have a good event.
Grade C Your current preparation and event knowledge contain several significant gaps that may affect successful training or event completion. Prioritise fitness, load exposure, recovery habits and endurance event knowledge to improve your readiness.
Grade D Your current training, preparation and event knowledge suggest that you are not yet adequately prepared to meet the demands of the event. With structured training and better understanding of endurance-ruck events, you can significantly improve your readiness.
Boots on the tarmac and the miles completed? That part is up to you.

If you are training for the Norwegian Foot March, newcomer or experienced speed marcher alike, our online course "Built to Ruck The Science and Practice of Rucking" supports you you to succeed in your goal. Across 20 units, the course draws directly on peer-reviewed research relevant to endurance rucking, from physiology and training, heat issues and event strategy.*
The Rail Corridor will be open on the night of 16 October. The question is whether you will be ready for it?
