The PARAS'10 is the leading military organised tabbing (aka rucking) event in the UK - providing participants the opportunity to tab (ruck), or run, the infamous Parachute Regiment 10 Miler.

The 10 Miler's purpose is to carry out rapid troop movement from Drop Zone to Rally Point. It is a loaded march over undulating terrain in less than 1 hour 50 mins. The uniform requirement is boots, MTP trousers, a t-shirt (or smock or base layer), 35lbs bergen (ruck) and weapon (about 5 kg / 11lb), 1 litre of water.

Not able to enjoy the hilly charms of Catterick, North Yorkshire in person? No matter where you are in the world, there is a Virtual event on offer. And, if you are in Singapore, we are putting together a team to have a go!

  • Date: Saturday 07 November, primary. Alternate date: Saturday 14th November.

  • Location: Marina Bay (tbc)

  • Distance: 10 miles

  • Duration: Under 3 hours

  • Load: 35lb dry (not including water)

  • Kit: Boots, trousers, t-shirt, bergen (rucksack)

  • Team: Join us! (enquire below)

Please note - you have to register with the UK organiser to take part. This event is about giving back, registration is compulsory.

Timings: Results from previous Virtual events typically range from 1 hour 33 mins to 3 hours 30 mins.

"Honouring the Fallen"

The PARAS'10 Virtual asks "it would be great if you incorporated your local war memorials into your 10-mile routes, to honour our fallen at this reflective time of year."

As we anticipate our route to start and finish in Esplanade Park, we ask our participants to learn about the history behind some of the nearby war memorials, the Singapore Cenotaph, the Lim Bo Seng Memorial and the Indian Army Historic Marker.

Sunday November 9th is the UK's Remembrance Day.

In Singapore? Health & Safety: This is a virtual event, it is 'unsupported'. What does this mean? The event registration is via a UK event organiser, there is no Singapore based event company that manages this event. If you participate, you do so as an individual, or as part of a team of like-minded individuals. This is not a beginner level / novice event.

On event day(s), there is no First Aid or medical cover. You complete the event at your own level of fitness, pace and preparedness. We strongly recommend that you own research on how to train and prepare for a loaded march.
